THE CANDLE LAB
(2 blocks directly west from 796 on High Street)

If you take Warren St. toward High Street, you’ll run directly into the Candle Lab. Here you can either shop candles directly (great for wedding gifts!) or — even better — schedule group sessions to create your own candles with custom scents. From over 120 scents to choose from, you can create a custom scent and shop or dine along the block while your candles are cooling.

16 BIT BAR+ARCADE
(1.5 mi southeast from 796 on 4th Street)

Located downtown, this was the first barcade experience brought to Columbus. Good beer and plenty of arcade games to take you and your friends back to your childhoods. A little off the beaten path but surrounded by good little places to eat, making for a fun night out.

PINS MECHANICAL COMPANY
(0.9 mi southeast from 796 on 4th Street)

This place is huge and great for groups with so much to do. A large drink menu and food trucks out front on rotation offer plenty of options to settle anyone in your group making there no need to go anywhere else if you don't want. With a drink or food in hand, you can either hang out on the large leather couches or under the night lights to catch up. If gaming is more your thing, you can take part in the large variety of gaming options available here. Most notable is their Duckpin Bowling - which you need to sign up to play - or the outdoor larger-than-life table games. From a giant Jenga to life-size beer pong. Plenty to do both indoors and out.

KINGMAKERS
(2.5 blocks west of 796 on Buttles Avenue, just past High Street)

For a less conventional night out, you can take your group to a hidden little gem, Kingmakers. Walk through a door, down the stairs and enter a room filled with boardgames. You and your friends can order a beer, grab a table and get your game faces on. It can be a good activity to bring your group together. The experience is also made easier by the staff who help you find a game to suite the spirit of your group and get you started with the directions if needed. Don't count on this place for food though... beer and small snacks only.

SHORT NORTH PINT HOUSE
(3 blocks northwest of 796 on High Street)

Walking distance away, this bar is huge and offers a wide variety of local beers, cocktails and food. It's large front windows that open to the street, it's retractable roof opens up to let this sunshine in and offers a great ambience throughout. It gets pretty crowded at night for a fun bar scene but offers a full menu for dinner AND brunch, if you and your group want to check it out earlier in the day.

FORNO KITCHEN + BAR
(2 blocks west of 796 on High Street)

The scale of this restaurant makes it a good option for groups. Many restaurants in the area are smaller in square footage so it's difficult for them to accommodate larger groups without reservations. Forno is close and large enough that it tends to fit groups in easier, with shorter waits. Open for brunch - dinner, with a huge menu.

SEVENTH SON BREWING CO.
(0.5 mi northeast from 796 on 4th Street)

This place offers a great atmosphere and a large variety of craft beers and it's just down the street. It doesn't have a food menu although food trucks are always outside on rotation, offering great bites to pair with your beer. Ample seating both inside and out as well a large room in the back that can accommodate parties. Definitely worth stopping by for a drink!

They have yoga in their new upstairs space every Saturday morning thru the rest of the year.
